"When they've brought their high-energy old-time music to Bluegrass Tuesdays in the past, they've absolutely electrified the audience, which is really saying something for all-acoustic music."
--Tony Watt, Boston's Bluegrass Tuesday series
"This band's rhythm is so great that it's like surfing a perfect wave. They're a force of nature."
--Will Mentor, dance caller
"Both vocals and instrumentals are truly first class."
--Banjo expert Ken Perlman
Led by guitarist Ruth Rappaport and her fiddler son, Ben Wetherbee, this intergenerational band's repertoire includes rousing, powerful old-time fiddle tunes and traditional, modern, and original songs that feature tight harmony singing. They are very spirited and people of all ages love their enthusiastic and innovative music. Ruth played for many years in the eclectic string band The Poodles, and Ben has made a mark for himself as a popular old-time, roots rock, and alt music fiddler.
